Mass Effect, the uber popular Space RPG by Bioware, showed off its character creation system to the guys at IGN a couple of days ago. The Bioware team related that the character will have a back story created by the user, which will effect how the NPC’s in the game react to you. Your character background will also create different subplots depending on how you craft your backstory. Sweet!

Pretty cool stuff, but the most interesting part of the article for me was their visual customization options that allow your Shepard to look like almost any celebrity you want. One example was that they were able to make a pretty convincing President George Bush. The developer said the true test was to make……. Jimmy Smits……..! WTF? And they were able to do it.

Holy Crap! Jimmy Smits!!! I’m gettin this for sure. I just hope I can make a NYPD Blue Deathbed Jimmy Smits, that would be the best!

Anyone else want to RPG as Jimmy Smits? Head over to our FORUMS and sound off! Please note that it may take up to 15 minutes for a new article to arrive on the forums

Dude that would be freaking awesome. Well, sounds slightly retarded when you think about it for a long enough time, but still cool.
