Shocking 360 News!

Water, or H2O, does many things for us: quenches our thirst, makes plants grow, assists my mom in the washing of various things, so on and so forth. One thing that it does not do is react well to anything electrified. I know you’re shocked.

A 14 year old North Carolina boy found this out first hand as he tried to submerge his 360’s power supply in water to keep it from overheating. To let you know he’s not totally retarded, he wrapped it in plastic and taped it up before the blunder. Let the North Carolina jokes ensue.

Despite his caution, milliseconds after lowering it into the water he was electrocuted and discovered on the floor moments later by his mother. He did regain consciousness before the paramedics arrived and was taken to the hospital for burns on his hand and foot.

When asked why he did this, he said that his 360 had been turning itself off after five minutes of play. He found out from some one on the internet (who is probably going to be sued in the near future) that you could prevent that by cooling the power supply.

You would think Microsoft’s uber warranty would be plan A before you put your console anywhere near water. Regardless of how solid it is; I doubt that “owner stupidity” is a reason they would accept. His system is now fried along with the game that was in it.

I hope lessons have been learned and whoever gave that kid the awesome advice, I hope you get kicked in the nuts today. Twice.
