Ever want to publicly make fun of your boss online? Well, you may want to check out twenty-three year old Jessica Zenner’s story. She was fired from her job with Nintendo, allegedly for “blogging.” We have seen this before. People have been fired and students have been suspended for what they write in their free time. I’m just glad I don’t work or go to school, so I don’t have to worry about this site gettting me into trouble.

Zenner claims that she was never made aware of any official Nintendo policy on blogging. A Nintendo spokesperson countered by stating that Zennner was expressly discouraged from blogging. The truth is in there somewhere, but what is the real story?

What did she blog about that got her fired? Did she reveal Nintendo’s inner most Wii secrets for all to see? If by complaining about how one of her female coworkers needs to shave her beard then the answer is: Yes.

Zenner also went on a tirade in her blog to disprove her friends’ theories about her being a “pothead.” Nice. From there it gets a little personal as she rips one her bosses for the 12 people that read her blog to see. Great Career Move!

Is it alright to blog about these things? Yes, but anonomously. Yes, as long as you don’t put pictures of yourself in the blog to prove that it is you. Dumbass. The answer is No if: the subjects of said blog know who you are, or if the subjects of said blog know what you look like, or if said persons you blog about are co-workers and know who you are and what you look like.

Poor Jessica, you were already posting under a different name. Why did you have to post the pictures?

Remember kids, when you post anything on this crazy internet, you never know who could be reading it. And for Godsakes, don’t diss your boss, or the co-worker that looks like Chewy, or the old lady in your office that you think needs to get laid. And for Godsakes, do not write about what a big pothead you are! That will always swim up and bite you in the ass! Especially if it gets the munchies…Ever gotten in trouble for something you put on the internet?

Tell us about it in our forums.
